Baby for the Mountain Man

I loved Harlie and Jack’s story from start to finish.

Grumpy mountain-man? Check.

Surprise baby? Check.

Secrets? Check.

And then some. Suffice to say, I loved Harlie and Jack’s story from start to finish.

Both characters are flawed in their own ways, but that’s the beauty of what brings them together. Jack is a lover, through and through. He is stable and he is home. And Harlie, who has been searching for that all her life – roots, home, stability, belonging – finds that with him. With just the right amount of steam and spice.

I also enjoyed the side stories going on. I know there are books for some of the side characters who appear in this book, and I’d love to read more of their stories (Carmen and Finn, anyone?!).

Personally, I have a soft spot for the combination of tropes in this book so this is a no-brainer 5-star read. So, if you have a thing for the following tropes – Mountain Man, Grumpy/Sunshine, Close Proximity, Scars, Secrets, and Age Gap – then this is the book for you!
