This is the fifth book in the Innocent Brides series, and it did not disappoint! The whole series just keeps getting better and better, in my opinion.
We get a healthy dose of action, suspense, and so much steam – all things I have come to expect from this series. Not to mention, there’s always a lot to unpack with this one. You have Billie, who carries a lot of hurt from her past, with a ton of mental and emotional scars. Then you have Roman, the perfect healing balm for his baby girl. Then there’s the ultra-possessiveness, and I’m here for it!
I mean, Daddy Roman, anyone?
Although, I still stand by what I said in the last review. Maxim is still my favorite in this series.
I have been following along on the Innocent Brides series, and this is the fifth book I’ve read. It can be read as a standalone (all books in this series are); but it is best enjoyed from #1, Corrupted Innocence.
